Open House
An excellent opportunity for parents to receive information about the operation of the school and classroom is at Open House. We encourage all parents and students to attend the September Open House and Barbeque.

Conferences
Parent-teacher conferences are scheduled at the end of the first and second trimester. You will receive information about setting up a conference time that will fit your schedule. Conferences are an important way for parents and teachers to know each other better and work together to maximize student learning.

During Conferences, the following school hours will apply:

A.M. Kindergarten 9:00a.m. – 10:30a.m.
P.M. Kindergarten 11:30a.m. – 1:00p.m.
Grades 1 – 6 9:00a.m. – 1:00p.m.

Site Council
The Lincoln Heights Site Council meets the second Tuesday of each month at 6:00p.m. The Site Council works on issues related to school improvement and making Lincoln Heights an even better place for students to learn and grow.

Parent Teacher Group (PTG)
The Lincoln Heights parents and teachers have a strong and active membership. We encourage all parents to become involved in the PTG and to volunteer for one of the many fundraisers and events that the PTG sponsors. PTG meetings are held the second Tuesday of each month in the Library at 7:00p.m. Child care is provided.

Volunteers
Lincoln Heights has a large and active volunteer program. We encourage all parents and community members to volunteer time in some way. This can be helping students or teachers as well as assisting on field trips or other special events. All community members are welcome to volunteer and are greatly appreciated by staff. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact our school office at 354-3300 for further details.

Field Trips
As part of the volunteer program, we are always looking for volunteers to supervise children during field trips. If you are interested in helping on field trips, please contact your child’s teacher for further information.
