Homework   (back to home)

Weekly Homework:
Please remember to watch for your student's homework packet each week. The packet includes spelling, math, and reading assignments. Packets are sent home on Monday and are due at school on Friday. Thank you for helping your student succeed by providing a consistent time and place to complete homework each day.

Math Facts Reminder:
Please be sure to spend some time each day practicing the basic multiplication math facts from x 0 through x 12. Students have a clear understanding of when and why we multiply, but can get bogged down when they don't have rapid recall of these basic math facts.

One great place to practice is in the car. Spending just a few of those minutes driving practicing math facts will make the time fly and improve your student's math abilities. What a great deal! Just 15 minutes a day will make all the difference for your student!

Reading:
"Book It!" will begin in October.  In the mean time, gear up by spending about 20 minutes each day, at least 5 days a week, reading.

For the month of September, I will give out small rewards to students who record daily reading, get a parent's signature, and turn their reading log in to me at the end of the month. You should read at least 5 days a week for a minimum of 20 minutes. That will make a total of 400 minutes of at home reading this month!
