Jefferson Jefferson

A Note from the Principal

Welcome to Jefferson and the 2009-2010 school year!  We hope your child's school experiences here will be both happy and productive!

Our goal is to provide your child with the very best educational program possible.  We invite you to visit whenever you wish and encourage you to volunteer whenever you can. Your interest and involvement are important and helpful, both to your child and to the continued success of our school.  Together we can achieve an effective educational program in a quality school environment.

Here are a few parenting strategies which may assist in organizing for a successful school year:

  • have high expectations
  • emphasize reading at home
  • set aside regular times for homework and bed
  • establish rules
  • work with the school
  • back the teacher
  • encourage regular attendance
  • support your child!

We will make every effort to keep you informed of your child's progress, but if you have questions or concerns, do not hesitate to share them with us. Your child's teacher will be happy to work with you, as will I.

Again, welcome to your school.  I look forward to working with you . . .when you're in the building, please stop in and say hello.

Sincerely,

Mary-Dean Wooley
Principal
