Dear Indian Trail Families,
Welcome to the 2009-2010 school year! I am thrilled to begin my third year at Indian Trail. After a busy summer full of planning and anticipation, I am eager to begin collaborating with staff, students, parents, and community members, and I look forward to building upon the strong relationships with all of Indian Trail’s children and their families that were established over the last two school years. Our staff hopes that your child’s school experience will be happy, productive, and full of engaging and rigorous learning experiences. We believe that all children can achieve at high levels and they deserve our very best efforts on a daily basis. Our staff, however, can’t accomplish this task alone. We will need your help and support throughout your child’s educational journey. Together, our high expectations will help every Indian Trail child reach his/her full potential as a student and developing young community member.
Your child’s school success is highly dependent upon the relationship that exists between parent, teacher, and child. On-going collaboration between the home and school is essential to both your child’s academic and social success. We invite you to become involved at our school, so together we can demonstrate to your child the value and importance of a successful school experience. At Indian Trail we have a very effective volunteer program and an exceptionally supportive PTA. There are many avenues for parents to get involved at our school. We’d love to have you volunteer in our classrooms or help at one of the many school functions throughout the school year. This calendar lists all of the events that occur at our school throughout the entire school year.
