School Curriculum
Indian Trail's instructional staff is very focused on providing each student with a rigorous and engaging educational experience, aligned with the state and district curricular standards. We are continually collaborating and studying together to deepen our understanding of research-based best practices.
Parents, students, staff and community members can access tons of information regarding our district curriculum by visiting our district homepage. When you go to the district homepage, click on the Parent/Student Resources link and then click on the Curriculum Guides, Program Guides, and Approved Materials link. Then you can choose a specific content area (literacy, math, science, etc.) and the specific grade level you want.
Please contact your child's teacher or the principal, Mr. Paul Gannon, if you have any questions regarding your child's educational experience.
Express Child Care
Indian Trail's Express Program continues to offer quality before and after school care for our students. Operating hours are from 6:00 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. before school and again from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. for after school care. The Express Program is located in Room A101. The phone number is: 354-3118. Please call Allison Hargraves for further information.
We Love Our Volunteers
Indian Trail Elementary School offers a wide variety of volunteer opportunities. Most are coordinated by Kristi Flannery, our PTA Volunteer Coordinator. Volunteers can support our school in a variety of ways, including working in our classrooms, helping teachers with material preparation, and working at one of our many school events. We love our volunteers and couldn't provide all the wonderful experiences for our students without our volunteers amazing support.
Literacy Volunteer Program
We also offer a program called the Literacy Volunteer Program. This program is facilitated by Mrs. Jill Ferguson, 2nd grade teacher. She teams volunteers with students who need extra support in the area of reading. This program has been very successful and Mrs. Ferguson uses community members as well as parents to meet students' needs. If you are interested, please call the school office at 354-3100.
