Weekly written homework assignments are sent home every Monday (or Tuesday, if it falls on a holiday) and are due back on Thursday or Friday, written neatly in pencil, and also in the red homework folder.
Spelling words (typically 10-12 words) are included in the spelling written homework sheets. These words will be tested every Friday. You will find that there are many words that repeat themselves in the weeks to come. This spiraling of instruction is a way of providing long-term retention and application. Please find an effective way to quiz your child each night on these words, either orally or in writing. (See the weekly words listed in another assignment on this web page.)
Spelling and homework assignments will be recorded and are included on the report card grades.
