ATTENDANCE HOTLINE
Thank you for using our attendance hotline when your child will be absent from school. The number is 354-2717 and you may call and leave the message of the absence prior to 9:00 a.m. If we do not hear from parents, we do place calls to the home and work to verify the safety of the child.

DON’T BE LATE!!
The Garfield staff makes a firm commitment to begin active learning in class on Monday-Wednesday & Friday at 9:00a.m. and Thursday at 9:30 a.m.; therefore, it is not acceptable for students to arrive late as they miss the first assignment’s directions and force the teacher to stop and repeat it or limit the student’s involvement. Students enter the classroom on Monday-Wednesday & Friday at 8:55 a.m. and Thursday at 9:25 a.m. We appreciate your efforts in getting your child to school on time.

MEDICATION
If your child needs to take any medication at school for any reason, an authorization form must be completed by the parent and doctor authorizing the school to administer the medication. There is a copy of the form in your parent calendar you received in August and the office also has copies.
