Browne Express Childcare Program

Spokane Public Schools, Express Program at Browne is designed to meet the needs of working parents who want their children’s time away from home before and after school to be full and productive.  The Express Program provides children with an active agenda of arts and crafts, sports, games, special events, and educational endeavors.

This program is in operation Monday through Friday, 6:30 to 8:50 a.m. (6:30 to 9:20 a.m. on Thursdays) and 3:00 to 6:00 p.m.

Express has a special program for kindergarten children who are enrolled in our kindergarten program.  This program is housed at Finch Elementary School and students are bussed to Browne for kindergarten.  For information call Express at 354-7266.

School Volunteer Program

Volunteers have been an important part of Browne’s school program for the past several years. Volunteers strengthen our program by:

  • Providing more individual help for each child.
  • Giving the teacher more time to teach by providing classroom assistance and preparing classroom materials.
  • Enriching the curriculum through use of community resources.
  • Providing a communication link between the school and
    the community.
  • If you are interested in becoming a school volunteer or would like more information about the school volunteer program, please call the school.
