The most common question I receive from parents is, "How do I know what my child has for homework?" Students should always have their spiral homework planners with them. This tool helps both the student remember what the homework assignments are as well as communicate this information to the parents. If your child didn't bring home his/her planner, tell them you will be asking for it the following day. They should be able to show you what the work was and then be able to show you what they've completed. Remember, we have some type of homework most every night. Homework is to practice skills learned that day in class, so it is not something that students would have finished at school. Always ask!
